poetry in game form like i've never seen before. amazing how i seemed to generate my own poetry as i played, surprising myself. my disappointment and hopelessness as i completed one round and realized the actual mechanics of the game... and yet, i played another round, because that's the point, isn't it? interesting how my emotions changed with each round.

You are a beast by Wintertide Games found here is painfully beautiful. The simple mechanics paired with perfectly simple writing makes this game incredibly powerful. It's one I come back to as I struggle with treatment of my non-binary identity, and I'm slowly filling up the blank page with fighting and not giving up.

I absolutely love how this game uses it's mechanics to get it's point across. It's incredibly impactful and highlights the difficulties that can come with how trans people are treated by society. The layout also really ties into this point, overall a very powerful experience.

incredibly tasty visual design, stark and gorgeous writing. this evokes the pain and anger of fighting against what feels like the world, and the joyful anger of seeing these struggles depicted and the act of perseverance recognised, themes that many games about trans perseverance strike on but that there's still not enough of in the world. I bet this will make many more people feel less alone.

this game struck me, powerful and eye opening. Great example of games saying a lot with a little.
